It all began with an idea.
Hold & Play was born in 2020 when we decided to adapt our programs to reach parents online. Both of us had separately set up variations of the programmes that we now offer in our own respective countries. However, due to the global restrictions we were forced to postpone and reassess.
We were both living in two different continents but shared the same vision; empowering parents. creating community. and exploring play as a way to connect.
We were very aware of how isolated many parents must be feeling and felt our programmes would still be very much needed. So why not combine forces?
The question was then, how?
After many zoom chats we realised we wanted to start with prenatal mums; especially first time mums, who might be searching for a supportive community now more than ever.
And that was when we began adapting our programmes to become Hold & Play - and we have never looked back!
Our hope is to guide you as parents to find your style and the kind of parent you want to be by giving you enough relevant information to make the choices that suit you and your family best. There is SO much information out there that parenthood can easily become quite overwhelming.
We believe that play is a child's natural form of communication. Exploring the world of play is a way to bond and nurture relationships with our children, it can be great fun too! Our bespoke programmes (pre-natal to teens) are based on the latest evidence in attachment theory and support parents and caregivers, through each chapter of their parenting journey.
Hopefully with a touch of Hold & Play and a little sprinkling of our community, the magical journey through parenthood will become a ‘wee bit more playful’ and feel a little lighter.
